Psychotherapy is available to eligible clients located in California and Massachusetts.

Monthly Psycholytic Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Group for Couples is a distinct couples-focused group pathway for partners who keep getting caught in the same patterns and want to understand what happens between them in a different way. Preparation and integration connect what comes up in this work with conversations at home, especially recurring conversations that tend to go in circles. Ketamine-assisted participation requires clinical appropriateness and separate medical eligibility.

These small virtual relationship-focused psychotherapy groups bring couples and individuals working on couple relationships alongside others navigating similar dilemmas. Participation as individuals or couples depends on the group format and clinical fit.

Together, participants explore communication, intimacy, trust, boundaries, recurring patterns, transitions, and decisions about how to move forward. Hearing others' experiences can normalize common relationship struggles, reduce isolation, and support reflection and integration.

Monthly Group Therapy & Integration and Extended Ketamine-Assisted Group Psychotherapy are distinct clinical formats. Ketamine-assisted participation is available only when clinically and medically appropriate; not everyone in the monthly group receives ketamine.

The goal is not simply to have an experience.

It is to understand what is emerging and begin bringing that awareness into everyday relationships.

IMPORTANT ORIENTATION

This is structured group psychotherapy — not a drop-in ketamine experience.

An inquiry call is the first step. Intake and clinical assessment may follow; Susan confirms group fit and available space before placement.

These groups support therapeutic work, reflection, and integration within the agreed group format and participation period.

Some participants may be engaged in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as part of their treatment.

Others may participate in relationship-focused group therapy and integration without taking ketamine during the group session.

Participation in any ketamine-assisted session requires separate medical eligibility and prescribing through a qualified medical provider.

Who can participate?

These groups are designed for couples and individuals who are actively working on their couple relationships.

Relationship problems can feel deeply personal and isolating. Group work offers an opportunity to hear from others who are navigating many of the same dilemmas — communication struggles, intimacy, trust, boundaries, transitions, recurring patterns, and questions about how to move forward.

Participants may attend as individuals or as couples, depending on the group format and clinical fit. The shared setting can help normalize common relationship struggles while creating space for reflection, learning, and new perspectives.

Potential participants may include:

  • Couples currently participating in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
  • Individuals working on their couple relationship even if their partner is not participating
  • Clients already engaged in therapeutic work with Susan who would benefit from additional group support
  • Eligible couples or individuals entering an ongoing therapeutic process who complete the required intake and preparation

You do not have to attend with your partner to benefit from the group.

Sometimes one person developing greater awareness of their own emotional and relationship patterns can begin to change the larger relational dynamic.

Groups are intentionally small, generally up to six participants.

Two distinct ways to participate

These are different clinical formats, not interchangeable pricing tiers.

OPTION ONE

MONTHLY GROUP THERAPY & INTEGRATION

$175 per person2–2.5 hoursVirtual

These monthly virtual psychotherapy sessions provide additional space to process relationship experiences, recurring patterns, emotional reactions, and insights emerging through ongoing therapeutic work.

Participants may:

  • Check in and reflect on what has been happening
  • Explore recurring relationship patterns
  • Process emotional reactions and relationship challenges
  • Integrate insights from previous ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
  • Learn from the experiences and perspectives of other group members
  • Identify practical ways to bring greater awareness into everyday relationships

Participation in this group does not mean that every participant is taking ketamine during the session. This group can also function as ongoing relationship-focused psychotherapy and integration support.

OPTION TWO

EXTENDED KETAMINE-ASSISTED GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY

$350 per person3.5–4 hoursVirtual

Extended virtual ketamine-assisted group psychotherapy sessions may be offered for eligible participants who are appropriately prepared for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. These longer sessions allow additional time for preparation, the therapeutic experience, reflection, and integration.

Participants may:

  • Appropriate clinical preparation with Susan
  • Separate medical evaluation and medical eligibility
  • An active ketamine prescription from an appropriate medical provider
  • Compliance with the prescribing provider’s current dosing and safety requirements
  • Compliance with Journey Clinical’s applicable protocols when Journey Clinical is the medical provider

Participation depends on individual clinical and medical eligibility. Medical services are separate from psychotherapy fees.

Inquiry, clinical intake & group participation

These are therapeutic groups, not one-time experiences.

01

INTAKE & THERAPEUTIC ASSESSMENT

Participants meet individually or as a couple with Susan to discuss relationship history, current concerns, therapeutic goals, and whether the group is an appropriate clinical fit.

02

PREPARATION

Preparation helps participants understand the therapeutic process, establish intentions, identify relevant relationship patterns, and prepare for group participation.

03

GROUP PARTICIPATION

Placement follows Susan’s assessment of clinical fit and available space. The applicable group schedule or cycle is confirmed before participation; sessions support reflection, integration, and meaningful change.

04

MEDICAL EVALUATION WHEN KETAMINE IS INVOLVED

Participants considering a ketamine-assisted group session complete a separate medical evaluation. Journey Clinical or the medical provider determines medical eligibility, prescribing, medication instructions, and ongoing medical oversight. Susan determines psychotherapy and group appropriateness.

05

INTEGRATION

Participants reflect on what emerges in therapy and consider how insights can translate into communication, emotional regulation, boundaries, intimacy, and more intentional choices.

JOURNEY CLINICAL / MEDICAL PROVIDER

  • Medical evaluation
  • Determination of ketamine eligibility
  • Prescribing
  • Medication instructions
  • Medication management
  • Medical follow-up
  • Medical safety oversight

Susan collaborates with Journey Clinical for the medical component of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Journey Clinical’s medical team manages the medical aspects of treatment, while Susan provides the psychotherapy component.

Remote ketamine-assisted sessions require additional preparation.

Remote ketamine-assisted psychotherapy follows additional medical and safety requirements established by the prescribing provider.

Participants must follow the individualized instructions provided by their medical team before participating in any ketamine-assisted group session.

These requirements may include preparation related to medication use, vital signs, therapist participation, support-person or chaperone requirements, and other medical safety procedures.

Exact requirements are determined through the medical process and reviewed with participants before a ketamine-assisted session.

Participation in psychotherapy does not itself establish medical eligibility for ketamine.

Location & eligibility

All group psychotherapy sessions are virtual.

Psychotherapy with Susan is available to eligible clients located in California and Massachusetts.

Both couples and individuals working on their couple relationships may be considered for participation.

Group placement depends on clinical fit, current availability, and completion of the appropriate inquiry, intake, and preparation process.

Ketamine-assisted participation additionally requires separate medical eligibility and prescribing.

Medical assessment & ketamine prescriptions

Susan collaborates with Journey Clinical for the medical component of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Journey Clinical’s medical team independently evaluates participants for ketamine treatment and is responsible for medical eligibility, prescribing, medication instructions, medical follow-up, and medical oversight.

Susan provides the psychotherapy component.

Medical consultations, medication, and other medical services are separate from Susan’s psychotherapy fees.

A psychotherapy recommendation does not guarantee medical eligibility or a ketamine prescription.

Frequently asked questions

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND WITH MY PARTNER?

No. Individuals may participate when their therapeutic work is focused on their couple relationship and the group is clinically appropriate.

You do not have to attend with your partner in order to benefit from the group.

Sometimes one person becoming more aware of their own emotional reactions and relationship patterns can begin to create meaningful change in the larger relationship.

DOES EVERYONE TAKE KETAMINE DURING THE MONTHLY $175 GROUP?

No.

The monthly Group Therapy & Integration sessions are relationship-focused psychotherapy and integration groups.

Participants may use the group to process relationship challenges, recurring patterns, emotional reactions, and insights from previous therapeutic work.

Some participants may be engaged in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as part of their broader treatment, but participation in the monthly group does not mean that everyone is taking ketamine during that session.

HOW IS THE EXTENDED KETAMINE GROUP DIFFERENT?

The extended session is specifically ketamine-assisted group psychotherapy.

Because ketamine is part of that therapeutic session, participation requires additional preparation, separate medical evaluation, medical eligibility, an appropriate prescription, and compliance with the prescribing provider’s current treatment and safety requirements.

The extended format also allows more time for preparation, the therapeutic experience, reflection, and integration.

WHO DECIDES WHETHER I CAN TAKE KETAMINE?

The medical provider determines medical eligibility for ketamine and is responsible for prescribing, medication instructions, medication management, and medical oversight.

Susan determines whether participation is appropriate from a psychotherapy and group-therapy perspective.

Being appropriate for the psychotherapy group does not automatically mean someone is medically eligible for ketamine.

CAN ONE PARTNER PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THE OTHER?

In some cases, yes.

An individual may participate when the therapeutic work is focused on their couple relationship and group participation is clinically appropriate.

Participation is individualized and depends on the person’s therapeutic goals, current relationship concerns, and the role the group would play in their broader treatment.

IS THIS A DROP-IN GROUP?

No.

These are structured therapeutic groups. After an inquiry and, where appropriate, clinical intake, Susan confirms fit, available space, and the applicable group format before placement.

The goal is not to provide a one-time ketamine experience.

The groups are designed to support continued reflection, integration, relationship-focused psychotherapy, and meaningful change over time.

Interested in the group?

The first step is a 15-minute inquiry call with Susan. An intake and clinical assessment may follow. An inquiry or intake does not guarantee group admission; placement depends on clinical fit and current availability.

Together, you can discuss what is happening in your relationship, what you hope to work through, and whether individual participation, attending together as a couple, or another form of support may be the best fit.
